Girls' Week!
But First: It is Wynne's Birthday. Would you be a dear and leave her a present? The poor woman dreams of muskadillos or something weird.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Daily Hero and Firstborn are out for a whole week camping at the beautiful San Juan Islands with the scouts.
This means it's Girls' Week, the best week of the year when girls do girly things and there are no boys and best of all, Fashionista is all mine because she is grounded, so no cell phone (no texting) shhhh and so yeah it's just us happy girls having a super happy fun time!
Monday
Super happy mom/daughter activity: Swimming
Food: Sushi
June 2006 we visited Puke Lake, July 2007 we discovered Sewage River, July 2008 we finally found a good place in Sandy Swimming Hole.
At first I wasn't too sure about the "hole" part but I'm happy to report there was no hole, see?
Oh and not sandy at all.
See my baby's toe?
Tuesday
Super happy mom/baby activity: Oregon Zoo
Food: Beaches (BFFs Annie and Carrie ate with me and Millie there)
Aww, it had been years since I have taken my kids to the zoo. We had a great time.
I wore this shirt. People complimented me on it. In your face Clinton and Stacy.
On Girls' Week I can ask my daughter to pose for any pictures and SHE WILL. No questions asked :'}
I love the seals, don't you just love seals?
No manatees though :(
There is this station where you can smell the "eau de bobcat."
Don't smell it, ok? It's nast-ay. Eww eww gross.
Sanitized for your protection. This boy is about 11 years old. Yeah, congrats parents!
We had a lovely time, we held hands, my baby told me she loves me :'} We laughed, we shared a drink, we enjoyed looking at the animals even if we didn't see the wolves, elephants and chimpanzees.
Ok, so we were looking at the beavers. Fashionista says "mom, let's not do that "the nose knows thing", ok?"
You know what I said, outloud, right?
Thank goodness she didn't hear me.
Girls' Week movie: Penelope. We loved it! Awww, so cute.
Now, there was a certain teaser for a certain movie (CLICK HERE) at the beginning of Penelope and, who loves ya best?
(Sorry I disabled embedding of the video)
YAY GIRLS' WEEK!
NCS Stops Being Rude 3
But first:
We had an awesome time at the mall Saturday (Aubrey: I LOVE Sephora!)
Here's my super cool running fridge shirt and my soon to be patented "NO THANKS" hand.
Ha! I sure showed you Clinton and Stacy. You can take my shirt when you can rip it out of my dead cold hands!
NCS: Running fridge + NO THANKS hand. So there.
~~~~~~Segway~~~~~~~~~

It's that time when I answer questions you have asked in past posts, yeah, the questions I have saved because you mean so much to me.

-Wynne about my Eduardo shirt: Where can I get an Eduardo?
If you are talking about my tee, I got it at h0t topic. But you can pretty much find Eduardo anywhere.
So next time you are crossing the street, please remember [:30]

Click here if it doesn't work

-Aubrey about the Firstity First Award: How did you figure out who was first without going one by one through your posts?
This is how committed I am to my blog readers: I did go through each and everyone of my posts.
While doing that, I noticed many typos and grammatical. You guys are so nice to poor little Mexi me. Nobody tells me when I mess up ;)

You know you wanna. Clickety!

-Lauren about me waking up at 4:47 am every morning: 4:47 is joke right? please tell me it's a joke!
You just wait...uh about 15 years.
It's mostly because of early morning Seminary (early morning Gospel instruction for LDS teens 14-18), ours starts at 6 am.

-Omar Do your kids get embarrassed by you waking around wearing all those hats that cover your eyes? cover your eyes?
You know, I can't see if they care or not because of my big
floppy hat.

-Omar: And do I get points for being a solid top-5 commenter every time?
No.
The Rule Book clearly states that, sorry, can't unrule The Rules Book.

-Glittersmama about Rogue River's Rooster Crow Championship: Is that competition held at sunrise? How do you train a rooster for that?

While looking for info I came across this article:
*The all-time record for crows in 30 minutes is 112, which was belted out by "White Lighting" in 1978.
*The techniques and training of the roosters for the crowing performance differ considerably, but a perennial method is to cover the rooster's cage until the moment of the competition.
*Last year the crowing event began at 2:30 p.m.

-Rhonda about the rock throwers: So why was it forbidden to throw rocks? All those people were doing it just because the signs said not to??
Daily Hero thinks it's because if we all throw rocks at the river then we'll have no river.
I think it's because boats go by all the time and what if someone gets hit by a rock.
Firstborn thinks it's because they just want to punk you (?)
Fashionista thinks it's because throwing rocks is lame.

Those people were just a bunch of scofflaws!

-Aubrey about the four hour boat ride: What if you have to go to the bathroom?
When I was little my mom would say "There are no potties where we are going, so you better go now". She would say that ALL THE TIME. Didn't matter where we went, the movies, church, the fair, a restaurant, she would say that.
So that's my answer.
Oh and don't drink or eat watermelon before going on the boat.

-[Thanks OMAR] Chicklegirl a couple of posts ago: And on a completely different note, are your comments going to turn into one giant wrestling match over who loves/needs/worships you more?
If there's going to be ant wrestling on my blog be sure I'll sell tickets. It's about time I start making some money out of my uncoolness.
Also, the wrestlers need to wear cool masks and have cool names like "Destroyer" or "Yo Mama". Yeah.

TA-DA!!

Thank You for Nothing
Tonight Fashionista and I were watching Clinton and Stacy.

This girl (she was like 25) had this shirt, from Threadless [And not becuase she has this shirt but she was like totally cute and I don't even know why she needed a makeover save from some ugly sweaters she had, but whatever]

...and they threw it away.

I HAVE THAT SHIRT :(
I just got it. A week ago.

I also bought these:

Next, I was going to get this one. Not anymore.

I don't even wear t-shirts that often, do I? Can I still wear tees??!?
So there you have it. No Silly Saturday thanks to Clinton and Stacy.

;( <==That's me totally bummed and old and fat

PS: Hmm, maybe I have a little something for you: Who are these guys?

You See Me Travelin'
I bet you are all wondering what visitors turistas do in small towns, well, wonder no more:
["Unnecessary exclamation marks" you say? Uh, no.]

Rogue River (OR) is well known not only for the gorgeous river, great fishing, rafting and gorgeous sites but also for its Rooster Crow Championship!

Since 1953, Rogue River has held the National Rooster Crow Championship the last Saturday in June. A cash prize goes the owner of the rooster that crowed the most within a 30-minute period. We didn't get to see it, but I bet it was fabuloso!

See all that green? YAY green!!

You could go down to the community center!

I'm going to call this "a bad combination" (ok, no exclamation mark)

You could look at the classified ads!

You could visit the House of Mystery. Ooohhh misterioso!

People in small towns care about my sensibilities!

Where art thou Liz Foxy?

You could get cozy with a bear!

You can't see it but there are 3 "No ROCK THROWING" signs. There were as many moms as kids throwing rocks. Unreal!

Four-hour river tour: Ah, looks like we are not going to get too wet after all.

D'OH!

Main Street and the bridge were prettily decorated with flags, awww.

You hatin'?

Short
But First: We are going out of town, to the Land of Ninja's (yes, NINJA'S) to celebrate Grandma's birthday, do the jet boat trip again, fishing swimming, etc.

You know what this means right? It means that I'll be so far behind on the Blog World I might not recognize it when we get back.
*Sigh* Next, I won't able be able to fix the blinking 12:00 in my VCR...wait, I don't even own a VCR anymore? See? It's happening already!

Denial
Anger
Bargaining
Depression
Blog
Acceptance

We are short.
I'm 5' even.
Firstborn (16) is 5' 2"
Fashionista (14) is 4' 10"

Firstborn is a wrestler and a weightlifter. He can lift 200lbs+ so, if I need something heavy hauled around the house, he comes and breezily moves the item, he opens my jars, mashes my potatos and does the lawn with little to no effort. He loves jogging (can do it for miles), swimming, skiing, etc.
He is pretty proud of his HTML skills, his healthy eating habits and though being short used to bother him in elementary school, he now embraces his height. Apparently the ladies dig it.

Anyway. This is his instruction permit.
We didn't notice the errors until weeks later.

"Great. I can never show this to anyone!"

Shhh, please don't tell him I showed you, k?
Read ya next week!!

The Way My Brain Works

-I was thinking about quitting my blog BECAUSE I can't possible catch up with Newsgator at all. 58 unread posts, totally bums me out :(
Then I figured you guys would call me lame (as Nobody knows, that's actually my real name).

-I have had the exact same dream twice this week: I look at myself in the mirror and I'm huge, I bet I weigh like 400 lbs, I am also blond and my hair is very short.
So I just cry.
Mu husband calls this SPP, Serious Psychological Problems, which he reminded me of when I told him about the dreams.

-I had not had ice cream for who knows how long. Finally yesterday I decided that I'm just going to have to be fat because there's way too much good food out there and here I'm starving myself. Sure, I would love to be 100 lbs forever, but at what cost?
So I brought Ben & Jerry home and let them have their way with me.

-I never loved jogging, but I kind of enjoyed it. Since I twisted my ankle last year it just hurts sometimes and that took the joy out of jogging.

-I have OLFs I love who I have not visited for weeks :( I feel terrible about that.

-I shop with my earbuds/mp3 player. Not only they drown out any crying child (that's what you need Tori) but it makes my shopping more interesting:
*I make little videos in my head
*I realized the other day I am actually walking to the beat of my music (yeah, very attractive)

-About two weeks ago my mouse died.
I asked Daily Hero to pick me up a mouse on his way home. He got me a sweet wireless keyboard/mouse deal. About 5 minutes ago I figured out what all the cool shortcut keys on the left side do. Duh, I just hadn't click them ;)

And that's all I have to say about that.

What So Ever
At the mall Friday

I'm off to do something "fun".

"Mom, I'm bored. I want to do something fun...Ok, how about we go to the mall and you give me $100. Hmmm, no? Ok, can we go get a movie then? [Insert super cute adorable face here]. Thanks, you are a G mommy!"

We went to the new sushi place 4 times last week.
FOUR. We really really like that place.

Ok, so I guess I'll read ya later.

Gratuitous Wookie picture

PS: Omar has a new look, new site! I bet he's singing this right now:

I'm feelin' good from my head to my shoes♪♫
Know where I'm goin' and I know what to do
I tidied up my point of view
I got a new attitude♪
I'm in control, my worries are few
♪'Cause I've got love like I never knew
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
I got a new attitude♫
I'm wearing a new dress (New!), new hair (New!)
Brand new ideas, as a matter of fact I've changed for good♪♫

YAY!

This here is a family blog so I don't have any screamers or surprisity or jumpy stuff to show you

As you know I'm a fan of scary movies. I don't like serial killers -or killers in general- zombies (the movie [REC] is an exception)or anything that has to do with actual people hurting other people. My thrills come from the supernatural kind, ghosts are fair game.

In case any of you love scary movies as much as I do, here are a few I have enjoyed. If you have any recommendation, I'm all eyes!

You Can be First if You Are at Your Computer Omar
Today was my kids' last day of school, YAY!! No more waking up at 4:47 AM, at least for a couple of months.
I got to sleep in until...like I'm going to tell you. Then we went to a new sushi place which immediately became our top choice for eating out, it was muy very delicioso.

As we left this heavenly place (which we are visiting again tomorrow) we notice the window art.

What is that? I say it's a pumpkin.
A marine pumpkin

You know why the shrimp is so happy?
'Cause I ated it.

Yes Virginia, there's a Christmas tree at the bottom of the ocean.

Newsgator says I have 80 unread posts. Yeah, I was away from my computer what, like 7 hours and now I'm that behind? Ok, I'll get there slowly but surely.

Read ya later!

Twinrrific!
Today Tori posted some of the reasons why we say we're twins.

Having a bit of a blogstipation I am posting this from my drafts folder, which as of right now has 60 unfinished posts. Lame!
Also, Newsgator says I have 39 unread posts and I don't know that I can catch up. Pathetic!

"Are Tori and you really twins?" Well duh! of course we are*.
We just have to sit down and figure out all the many ways we are related.

We:
-Have May birthdays
-Her birthday is my baptism date
-Love The Godfather I and II
-Love Napoleon Dynamite
-Can't stand fruity cheese eating surrender monkeys
-Are a little tiny bit politically incorrect :) But we are nice about it
Right?
-Are Die hard fans of Twilight
-Get our way!
-Have cool magnet collections (hers, mine)
-Have a super rad twin power connection going on
-Our 5th grade pictures are teh bomb
-Both had hernias between 5-6 years of age
-Are both short, but she's way cuter than me
-Gave our moms constant headaches as teenagers...
-Made bad decisions along the way (like marrying the wrong person)...
-But we eventually matured and now we are happily married to good men :) YAY US!

*We just met last year, but whatever!
