You Know the Number*

So where am I in the movie?

Where are you in the movie?

"If we started a movie on the day you were born, and stretched it over your lifespan, this is where you'd be in that movie. So if you're a teenager, you might see Luke arguing with Uncle Owen, or Cameron making a phony phone call to Ed Rooney. If you're a retiree, you might see the Marshmallow Man, or Toto pulling away the curtain. And if you're in your mid-thirties, you might be relieved to know that Ferris is still eating lunch, and the Millenium Falcon hasn't left Tatooine."

It's Rhonda's birthday also. Happy birthday funny gal!

==========
I have a situation at home that needs my immediate and undivided attention. I won't be online for a while. I hope to come back later in the summer.
I'll miss you all and hope you'll all have fun and keep on blogging.

I'm turning off comments because I won't be checking email for now either.

Fail/FTW
FAIL

-Around this time of the year I start to plan our annual (kids + me) trip to Disneyland. But thanks to the dumb economy there will be no trip to the magic kingdom. BOOO.

-This ad on FB. "No profile is complete without the fantastic tattoo images like this". ITA, nothing says classy and take me serious as a this particular profile tattoo only can.

-Who is searching for "moobs"?!
Get thee behind me!

-This is one of those things that drives me crazy:
1) Seriously people, can't you just do a search and look if anyone has asked that questions instead of starting a new post and asking the same question for the 100000th time?
2) FB has one of the worst help features ever IMO.

FTW (that's "For The Win" Jean Knee)
-Look at what Nancy sent me! Isn't she the amazing Thanks Nancy, you are the best :)

-Daily Hero has outdone himself this year. As you all should now, May is my Happy birthday/Mother's day month, this is the month where my Daily Hero gives me a present each day (a little present) and I am making out like a bandit.
Mwahahaha.

He tell me "Happy Birthday/Mother's Day month" everyday AND signs all his e-mails like this:

-The other day I picked up Fashionista from school, she asked me if we could give a ride to a girl because it was raining. And so we did. after dropping off the girl I told Fashionista I had never heard of this particular girl before, to which she responded "She's not my friend and actually I really don't like her at all".
I asked her why had we given her a ride and she said "It's raining mom, I'd have felt horrible if she had to walk in the rain when we could have easily given her a ride".
I was so proud!

-Firstborn came home from school, the first thing he said was "I need to call he school, I broke a window by accident and I need to tell them". Before taking the bus home he was goofing around with a friend and he elbowed a window which cracked. I asked him if anyone had seen him and he said no, "I didn't go to security right then because I figured you'd have to come pick me up...I am calling them right now".
He actually had to call them 3 times since twice they didn't return his call or even knew he had left a message.
"I could't live with myself if I had just walked out and pretended I didn't do what I did, even if it was an accident"
He offered to pay for the damage. They told him it was taken care of and thanked him for his honesty.

-Sometimes my kids drive me nuts, but most of the time they are pretty amazing.

-For Lauren

I Hardly Knew Ye
On November 2005 I bought a sewing machine.

I opened it June 2007.

It died May 7, 2009.

R.I.P. sewing machine. I got to use you about 15 times, you were always good time me...and then you died.

You were my first. I hadn't planned to get you and I didn't know what I was doing.
I will always remember you.

PS: Nikko has a Bernina (for Fashionista, who is taking sewing lessons. There's no hope for me at this point)

Things I Saw
-As you very well know, May is Mother's Day Month at mi casa.
Yes, I get celebrated all month long with Daily Hero giving me a (small) present every single day. I love May.

-As you very well know also, today is Cinco de Mayo (May 5th) and I will not rant and rave about what it's actually being celebrated today NOT in Mexico

-Today is my little sister's birthday. ¡Feliz cumpleaños Sis!

-Since my running companion got injured, I have joined a couple of hardcore runners, namely Sid and her friend. They run 4 miles three times and I just want to say that
I.am.scared.

-Talking about being scared, I was had bad dreams every day for the last five days. What the heck? It's my month!

-And furtherly expanding on being scared, I had heard form others about finding unflattering pictures of themselves on Facebook; it was all fun and games until it happened to me. In a way it's funny because it has so shocked me that now even tough I could untag the pictures, probably I won't, it's good way to keep me humble*.

-Some stuff I saw:

Fashionista and I went out for lunch. As we are walking to our table, all of the sudden she turns red and makes a little whimper + "Oh noes!" sound.
This is what she saw:

At the W@lgreens:

Adiós!~

The Slacker Silly Saturday

Because I was gone and then way too busy, I didn't have time to compile this weekend's Silly Saturday. I hope I don't get fired.
Instead, here are some videos.

Argh! Squirrels!

"Where did you come from?"
Firstly I'd like to apologize for any and all blatant and self-serving overuse of inside jokes on this post. Please don't feel left out...feel included.

I spent 5 magical days with my Awesome Twin Tori:) (read her post because I look way better in her pictures) and Nobody (go read her post, she uses better/fancier words than me. Like "communion" and "relationshipal") in Texas.

This is how much fun we had: Nobody didn't read her book. Not even once.

I'd love to tell you every single thing we did and laughed about. How I enjoyed eating all that food with them. How being so tired and sleepy made me incredibly happy, because that meant we had spent all that time talking instead -sleeping is overrated- . But I am not because I want to treasure those things in my heart.

And make Omar jealous.

Nobody, NCS (modeling a very fancy hat) and Tori:)

1) Nobody has great friends. I already knew that Nobo could make a room swoon with her mere presence and I know people gravitate to her wherever she goes...But I had not fully realized/understood the complete and pure fact that awesome people like Nobody attract equally awesome people.

2) Tori is so cute. I smiled every single time she said "y'alls".
And I sure hope no one comes to arrest her for all the $2 in tolls we didn't pay.
She looks cute in every single picture (not drunk or crazy like some of us did), didn't say crazy things when tired like other people AND I love it that we are always planning weddings between our families :)

3) I thought I'd see many people wearing hats. This was not true, in fact I only saw one guy walking on the street with a hat on and Rebecca, but I don't even think that counts because she wasn't just wearing a hat, no, she was rocking that hat.

4) We got lost and turned around a lot.
One day we visited the Holocaust Museum in Dallas. It's a miracle we made it there because we asked so many people for directions it's not even funny.
She is so photogenic

The museum was great (Heh!) and I only cried once.

5) We had dinner at Tori's and I have to tell you: I love Tori's family, the kids are sweet and polite, Sei is everything Tori has ever told us and more. I even got to see him in action on his police car, how cool is that?

I know I made a BFF in Livie, I mean look at us, we had just met and we are already playing together!

6) Jean Knee. I got to talk to Jean Knee on the phone.
How jealous are you now? How much more jealous will you be when I tell you we shared some secrety secrets? HA! I love you Jean Knee! (now I got your phone number MWAHAHAHA)

7) If anything, Nobody needed me to remind her to wear her seat belt (safety first).

Yes, Tori and Nobody made all my dreams come true.

Stuff I Saw
But first: Physcokity asks:
"In the entire history of SHG's head apparel has she ever sported a do-rag?"

Excellent question. Not a do-rag but more like a cool hair bandana.
Cool hair bandana

And second: I am not here. I am somewhere else.

And third: Omar is SO JEALOUS!

thisistehsegwaythisistehsegguaythisistehseguaithisistehsegue

Stuff I Saw:

(Clickety to biggify) This whole ad was a huge and complete fail.
I don't know how or why the sideways bike came into play, but

Wookie got a haircut yesterday.
He usually gets a Gold Star and a little line next to it. Check it out,
he got an ! and a :)

I am not making this up: This is what I got in my fortune cookie.

Very much go!

Today's Agenda

Plane Jame writes: "I love how most of your posts are explaining or apologizing for your extended absences... either saying you're back, leaving, or taking a blog break."
Shhhh. That's supossed to be a secret! I wonder if anyone else has notice. Hope not.

Anyway, I am down to 241 unread posts (dumb BAWS messing me up) Yay me.

Here's something for the ladies:

And a little something for the guys:

BAWS!!
But first the Good news!

I qualify for a whole bunch of Carbon credits for not blogging for so long!

See? It was all about the environment all along.

Thanks to all who called, texted, e-mail and wrote to inquire about my existence.
1) Yes, I am in fact, alive
2) I am very healthy
3) Everything is perfect and great at Casa de NCS

I don't know why but what started as my usual bi-monthly break turned into a total alienation from my computer. I just didn't feel like even turning my computer on: E-mail went unread, Photoshop was unopened, music was not downloaded, blogs went unchecked.

THIS DOES NOT MEAN I FORGOT ABOUT YOU ALL...I'll have you know I thought about each and everyone of you, individually, and every minute of every day.

Last week I checked Newsgator for the second time since this "Blog World Alienation Syndrome" (BWAS) started and was shocked (shocked!) to discover I had over 400 unread posts.

"Has it been that long?" I asked my little self.
"How many Silly Saturdays have I missed?" "Has another Mexi take my place?" (Don't believe any impostors!)

Right now I have only two objectives:
1- Catch up as much as possible
2- Re-earn your love*

Ps: I'd like to thanks S (#1, woo hoo), Jean Knee and Omar for making it easy on me.

PPS: Omar had a birthday and I missed it (You are so old, your birth certificate expired)

*PPPS: I'll attempt to re-earn you love before Thursday...because on that day I'm leaving town for a few days (You don't even know it yet, but you are so very jealous about this)

Oh the fun we are going to have. We shall comment all day long!

Everyone gets to be FIRST! Yes indeed, FIRSTS for everybody!

I am even thinking of bringing bacon back. Who is with me?
